Shadowland Online is developed and published by Shenzhen-based ZQGame behind Operation Gamma 41; and in closed beta testing period now, it is scheduled to be launched into North America in August of 2011. As a browser-based warfare-themed real-time strategy MMORPG, Shadowland Online is designed to cater to overseas players in culture and in gaming style, with the major elements from the God-related background to Caribbean-styled races and to the legendary heroes in western history all familiar to players abroad.

Set in the post-apocalyptic land called God’s Continent, this game will usher players into a fantasy world where human beings try to survive wars breaking out among themselves and against the dark undead power as well. Predictably, gameplay that includes building empires, collecting resources, shaping armies, waging wars and completing quests, etc is all available in it. Role-playing as Nobilis, Tribal or Mercenary race, players will try their best to defeat the undead with the help of a fragment of powerful St. Eloi gem, necessary in the creation of Gate of Ages.

Only by way of Gate of Ages are players able to travel to different kingdoms in history, such as the ancient Rome and medieval England, where they attempt to win over well-known heroic figures as their alliances. Yet it is not easy to make those Men of the Time at your disposal; instead, players have to capture their heart by defeating them in the battle firstly. Moreover, conquest of a certain Age will also lead players to more gem fragments which are the key to doors of other dynasties. Apart from the assistant heroes and armies out of history, players also need contemporary alliance to gain upper hand in wars of varied scales. To simply join a handy alliance or to build one’s own at the cost of gold coins, players can become a part of larger community in which all members share the same emblems, collective resources and technology upgrades, and even a wage system and personnel position management, etc.

War fire charring the persistent world, battles are fought in multiply scales ranging from unit conflicts to strongholds combats, from regional battles to national epic military action. The higher of players’ level, the greater scale of the war. Can you defeat Spartans? Can you lead your empire to go through the shadowland of this world?
